However, it’s obviously easiest and fastest to simply grab them as you’re passing by the room or area, so that you don’t have to waste time backtracking. Theoretically, none of the 12 Marker Fragments are missable and it doesn’t matter in what order you find them in, as long as you find them and compile them before the point of no return (which is at the end of Chapter 11 going into Chapter 12). Keep in mind that the chapters in brackets are only when I found each specific Marker Fragment, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s when you have to get them, especially since it’s possible to backtrack in the Dead Space Remake. So, here are the locations for each 12 of the Marker Fragments in New Game Plus of the Dead Space Remake. You’ll have to manually find them, and trust me, some of these were hidden really well (which is part of why I had to spend almost 30 hours to get the secret ending). The problem is that there’s no way to track these down automatically. During the New Game Plus, you’ll have to find a whopping 12 hidden collectible items called Marker Fragments. Then, you’ll have to start a New Game Plus playthrough on any difficulty. First, you have to complete one playthrough on any difficulty. Here’s what you need to do in order to get the Dead Space Remake secret ending. It took me 30 hours (and two complete playthroughs) to be able to finally achieve the secret ending. However, the Dead Space Remake secret ending does take quite a bit of time and effort to obtain. In a departure from the original, developer Motive Studios have added an alternative ending or secret ending in the Dead Space Remake ( check out my spoiler-free review here).
